13 Years of Brokerage Community Building

December 20th Oregon Community Brokerages, our statewide Brokerage association, celebrates its 13th anniversary.

Ever since Support Service Brokerages were first formed out of the Staley Lawsuit Settlement in 2001, our agencies have been working together in community to build and grow. Over the years, the demands to support Oregonians with intellectual and developmental disabilities have shifted and changed. As a group, we have worked to adapt and develop new solutions to fit each new day. In December 2010, Oregon’s Support Service Brokerages decided to formalize their association and become a 501c6 nonprofit. We couldn’t know the immense upheaval and many changes that would mark the next decade of IDD services, but we knew that we would face them in unity.

Our association is committed to preserving and sharing out the values of self-determination and personal empowerment that Support Service Brokerages were founded upon. Thank you for being a part of our story.
